Addressing the gathering, speakers highlighted the importance of books as instruments of cultural continuity, intellectual growth, and societal transformation. The event stood out for bringing together works that span healthcare, ancient wisdom, philosophy, and contemporary poetry—reflecting India’s holistic approach to knowledge and creativity. The occasion witnessed the launch of books by distinguished authors whose writings represent India’s intellectual depth, healing traditions, and literary sensitivity.

Renowned homoeopathic physician, scholar, and educator Dr. Ashish Jaiswal launched three significant works that bridge classical Indian wisdom with contemporary medical understanding. His first book, Homeopathy Chikitsa – Vedic Basis of Homeopathy Principles, offers a profound exploration of the philosophical and scientific foundations of homoeopathy. Drawing thoughtful parallels between homoeopathic principles and concepts rooted in the Vedas, the book provides readers with a deeper understanding of how ancient Indian knowledge systems resonate with modern therapeutic approaches. The work aims to encourage practitioners and scholars to view homoeopathy through a broader cultural and philosophical lens.

Dr. Jaiswal’s second book, Meethi Goliyan, is a child-friendly and engaging publication designed to simplify the understanding of homoeopathy for young readers. Using accessible language and relatable explanations, the book introduces healthcare concepts in a manner that is both educational and engaging, making it a valuable resource for children and parents alike. His third work, Antarman Ki Karvatein, is a reflective literary composition that explores the inner journey of human life. Through introspective narratives and emotional depth, the book delves into personal struggles, emotions, and transformations, offering readers a sensitive portrayal of the human psyche and the evolving nature of self-awareness.

The next author introduced at the event was Vaidya Riya Rai Dwivedi, an Ayurvedic physician and Nadi Parikshan specialist. Her book, Decoding Garbhasanskar, published by Motilal Banarsidass and featuring a foreword by noted scholar Dr. David Frawley, presents a comprehensive yet accessible understanding of Garbhasanskar. The book adopts a conversational format between two friends, making complex concepts approachable for modern readers. Structured with concise chapters, scientifically designed activities, and thoughtful letters concluding each chapter, the work serves as a compassionate guide for individuals seeking to understand prenatal care from a holistic perspective.

Through this publication, Vaidya Riya highlights the foundational Garbhadhan Sanskar described in ancient Indian scriptures, presenting it in a contemporary language that resonates with today’s society. The book aims to bridge traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with modern sensibilities, offering readers practical insights into conscious parenthood and holistic well-being.

The third author whose work was unveiled was Dr. Om Nishchal, a distinguished poet, thinker, and respected voice in contemporary Hindi literature. His poetry collection, Tumhare Saath Yeh Duniya Haseen Dekhni Hai, reflects the simplicity of everyday life, human relationships, and shared emotions. Rooted in lyrical sensitivity and enriched with philosophical undertones, Dr. Nishchal’s poems capture life’s quiet moments, unspoken hopes, and emotional connections. The collection celebrates life as it is experienced and felt, leaving a lasting impression on readers through its sincerity and depth.

Speaking on the occasion, literary experts and dignitaries emphasized the enduring relevance of poetry and reflective writing in fostering empathy, emotional intelligence, and cultural continuity. Dr. Nishchal’s work was acknowledged for its ability to connect deeply with readers across generations.

The book launch event at the World Book Fair 2026 stood as a meaningful confluence of tradition, knowledge systems, and creative expression. It highlighted India’s enduring literary and cultural heritage while showcasing how ancient wisdom and contemporary thought can coexist and complement each other. The event reinforced the Fair’s role as a platform that not only promotes reading but also nurtures dialogue across disciplines, generations, and ideologies.

With such thoughtfully curated launches, the World Book Fair 2026 once again reaffirmed its position as a cornerstone of India’s literary landscape, celebrating authors and ideas that continue to shape the nation’s intellectual and cultural discourse.
