The least discussed topic on the internet is the most talked about. Do we know what we’re talking about when we say MENTAL HEALTH, let alone how to deal with it? The term “health” refers to both the body and the mind. However, we regard both as equals. As the most intelligent and sound creatures on the planet, our most recent update is to use our minds more than our bodies. We forget about the part of the world that is struggling the most in this era of comparative success. OUR PERSONAL BRAIN.
Thoughts are to the brain what food is to the body. Nowadays, we are very conscious of what we eat, whether organic or natural. There are numerous parameters to consider when determining what we consume. But have we ever examined the thoughts we feed our brains? When taken in a bad mental state, healthy food does no good. This demonstrates the significance of our Mind.
We have seen a phenomenal shift from nature to science in the last few decades, and we have made every possible thing to live a healthy and long life. Yet, when we look back, our forefathers lived a good, healthy, and long life without having anything, whereas we are witnessing early death despite having all the necessary facilities. When the difference was studied, the bottom line was that THEY WORRIED LESS AND LIVED MORE, whereas we LIVE LESS AND WORRY MORE. Along with the tremendous advancement in technology. There is also a shift in the way words are used. We have conveniently entered a phase in which
Anxiety has taken the place of tension.
The strain has taken the place of the stress.
Depression has taken the place of grief.
Suicide has taken the place of the solution.
Every word, like every human, has its own vibrational energy. These vibrations feed our thoughts, which ultimately determine how we react and respond to a situation.
Mental health is a vast and complex subject. The 3As are the ones who both cause and heal mental health problems.
- Awareness
- Acceptance
- Acknowledgment
The void left by the absence of these three As leads to a descent into darkness that can only be averted with the RIGHT HELP at the RIGHT TIME.
AWARENESS to any minor behavioral change is the first step towards realizing and healing. Early detection aids in recovery.
ACCEPTANCE
As natural as it is to hear and accept that a person has diabetes, kidney failure, or even cancer. Acceptance of a person’s anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. Seeing a psychiatrist is as common as seeing a general practitioner. Denial, whether from oneself or from others, exacerbates the suffering.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Just as every food and flavor contributes to a well-balanced diet, every emotion contributes to a well-balanced state of mind. Be it joy or heartbreak, solace or sorrow. be enthralled or moved. It is human to feel it all and have nothing to resist, just like day and night. Acceptance for healing is also made easier by acknowledgment.
The time it takes for sorrow to turn into depression is determined by the thoughts we entertain. It may appear to be a black hole, but efforts should be made to see the sun right there.
What matters is that you resist falling and take steps toward the light, no matter how bleak it appears from a distance.
As “single drops fill the ocean, tiny little steps fight depression,”
As terrifying as it may appear, cultivating mental health is similar to growing a crop. It requires Patience, Perseverance, and Pampering from both the outside and inside worlds.
While scrolling through Instagram, she came across a reel.
Every word was relatable, and she began to feel
How a thought became a trail Memories rushed back of every time she had failed
Those eyes, which had once been filled with curiosity, now made her feel mediocre
Those thirty seconds set her brain on fire.
